Mama and I will never understand why there are evil people in the world that would abandon and neglect dogs, especially Shih Tzu.
The Shih Tzu breed is supposed to be loved and cherished. We are bred to be lap dogs, to warm the feet of Chinese royalty. We are beautiful, majestic, and we love our humans above all others. How could anyone not love us?
How could anyone neglect a Shih Tzu?
This is what happens with a Shih Tzu is abandoned. They end up looking this this.
I cannot imagine how uncomfortable this Shih Tzu feels. His fur is hardened, and he must feel like he is mummified. It is tragic. Although Mama and I couldn’t find any additional information on this Shih Tzu, we gather that he was abandoned by his owner and left to rot.
Fortunately, some kind-hearted people saved up and got him groomed. He is a beautiful Shih Tzu underneath.
Transformation from the Beast to the beautiful Prince
Mama and I are thankful that there are good animal lovers who were able to save that matted dog and transform him into the beautiful Shih Tzu he was underneath.
If you can, I hope you consider adopting and saving a dog from a horrid life.

Wow, that was a really moving post. And they call us animals…disgusting how too many people are.

OMG I cannot believe that. That poor baby and so glad someone found him and is giving him the love attention he so deserves. We had one similiar like this brought to our local shelter, they said the coat they shaved off that one weighed 20 pounds. I just can’t imagine. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
This is so sad….. i can’t imagine my dogs or any other dogs to suffer this kind of treatment. I’m happy there are still good people out there that saved his life…
WOW!!! This really makes me wonder what might have happend to Dozer….
Dozer is my fiance’s dog and my fiance rescued him just over a year ago. He is a male Brendel Shih-Tzu about 4-5yrs old….
I’m glad someone was there for this beautiful pup.
