Designer Chairs for Dogs

Dogs are called “man’s best friend,” so why shouldn’t we get to have cute furniture – just like our human parents? I love my mama unconditional, and I miss her like crazies when she leaves the house. But I think that maybe, I wouldn’t be so sad if I had my own comfy couch – or a cool designer chair – to sleep in, while I waited for her to come home.

So, Mama and I were online the other day, and we read that companies sell designer chairs for dogs – just for us canines! How cool is that?

While yes, I love sitting (and sleeping on my Mama’s lap), I think I would like having my own chair. Yes, I would.

How can anyone say no to this face?

After browsing the ‘net, I found my dream list of luxurious, designer doggie chairs. Check them out, and let me know what you think! Don’t you want one of these chairs, too? They are just so, so stylish!

Too bad we can’t afford them. But I wanted to share them with you. No one has paid me to share them with you. I just want ‘em! I even Photoshoped my face on some of the chairs, so you could see what I might look like on them!

Princess Lola’s Chaise ($600) – Pink is totally my color, and I am Mama’s princess. I just think cute little chair is perfect for me and my bum. It looks very soft too, and can’t you just see me – the fashionista that I am – sleeping on this very plush designer chair, complete with its soft pink faux fur and feather trim? It’s made for small dogs under 20 pounds.

Can someone tell my mama to buy it for me?

Amelia Classic Dog Chair ($399.97) – Oooh! This chair is definitely perfect for my stylish self, too. It’s Victorian-style, timeless, and looks pretty comfy. I think it would fit in with the décor of any modern home.

But in my home, I think maybe Mama can put it in the living room, so that the two of us can watch TV together…

I think this one would be good for a boy doggie too, since it’s blue.

$400 is really not that much… Mom…

Sugarplum Princess Bed ($140) – Okay, so this one isn’t actually a designer bed, but it’s still pretty fabulous. I really like the white tent and the pink bows that go over it. It looks like a tiny gazebo that I can sleep in. It looks made for a princess, and I’m definitely princess material. Couldn’t you see me lying in this bed? I can only dream that Mama will surprise me with it in the morning. Ooooh – it’s just so, so gorgeous! And I want it!

Beverly Hills Black Luxury Dog Bed ($1,550) – Now if Mama was rich, this is what she’d buy for me. This chair has black faux fur on the button, and it looks like a dream for any spoiled pooch. Oh, so stylish and it would match perfectly with my black and white polka dotted dress, don’t you agree?

We might not live in Beverley Hills, CA and I might not a famous celebrity’s dog, but I’m treated like an oh-so-adored celebrity in my own house, so why not give me a dog that makes me feel like the Hollywood royalty that I’m treated as?

Come on, Mama!

Pet Dog Chair with Pink and White Polka Dots

Wooded Framed Pet Dog Chair with Pink and White Polka Dots ($251.99) – I think this chair would fit perfectly in Mama’s pink office. She could place it in a corner of her office, and I could sleep on it, while she writes. Doesn’t it look perfect for me? It’s low in height, easy to move from room to room, and I think I would definitely love it. And it’s great for when I get old and get arthritis. Oh Mama… Don’t you think I should be comfy and live in style?

Oh, come on, Mama…. Pul-lease?! Buy me my own furniture?! Don’t you love me?

Photo of the Day: Visit to the Park with Mama

Mama and I took a walk to the neighborhood park the other day. It was all very interesting to me, but I think Mama just wanted me to go out in my dress and have everyone “awww” at me.

When Mama Leaves the House…

I have a confession to make.

I hate it when my Mama leaves the house. She works at home as a freelance writer, so I get to spend a lot of time with her… But when she leaves, it makes me very sad. I stand and wait for her at the window, and look very sad. I watch her as she drives away, and I think it makes her feel guilty.

Fortunately, I do not have separation anxiety. Or at least I don’t think I do. I don’t cry or bark and annoy the neighbors. I don’t urinate or poop in the house – cuz I am mostly potty trained now … most of the time. I don’t destroy toys or chew on furniture out of distress.

Nope, I don’t make a peep… Until she comes home. (I kinda go crazy when Mama comes up. I get on my hind legs and bark and want her to pick me up. Then I run and get a stuffed toy and force her to play fetch with me for a few minutes. I get very excited.)

This is what I do instead…

I sleep and dream of the day that my Mama will come home to me. The days, minutes, hours… It all seems like a long time to me. So I sleep a lot.

And if I hear a car sound, then I run back to the window and I wag my tail and get all excited.

I may be a spoiled pooch, but I don’t have emotional disorders like other dogs.

I know my Mama loves me, and I know she will come home.

Blast from the Past: Mr. Pumpkin (the Cat) and Me Sleeping Together

Do you remember a few days ago when I posted that picture of me snuggling underneath Mama’s desk? And you also got to see that super cutes photo of me when I was a puppy?

So… Here is another Blast from the Past that you might enjoy.

Below is a photo of me when I was a tiny puppy – probably around 7 weeks old – cuddling up next to my Siamese brother, Mr. Pumpkin. I told you we’ve always been friends. He was a very nice, warm body for  me to sleep next to… See how teeny-tiny I was?

Cat and Dogs

Mama says it’s too bad that puppies grow up, but she is glad that I’m an adult now. She was always so worried about tripping over me when I was a puppy – since I loved to just walk around her feet, and I was so tiny that if she fell and squished me, I would have probably died.

And now Mr. Pumpkin and I are the same size…

(Sorry about the red eye dealio. Mama couldn’t figure how to get it out of the photo…)

Snuggling Underneath Mama’s Desk

Since it’s winter time now and finally get cold here in Tennessee/Alabama, Mama has taken our old comforter and she uses it to cover her legs while she writes.

Me – I have another use for it, I like to take all my favorite toys and snuggle with them … on top of the comforter… underneath Mama’s desk. I get all cuddled up and sleep here. And since I have made myself a nice, comfy desk, my Mama can’t use the comforter without disturbing me. And being the best Mommy in the entire world, she has sacrificed being slightly cold, so that I can have a nice place to snooze. Isn’t she the nicest persons ever?!

And so, I sleep and lay here… With my new doggie – who I got from Santa Paws – and my little birdie friend. Sometimes, my old friend Prince Froggie Froggie makes an appearance, too. Do you remember him? I’ve had him since I was a little puppy.

Are you ready to say, “Awwww?” Here is a blast from the past. It’s a photo of me when I was only 6 weeks old, right after my Mama got me. Aren’t just the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen?! And there is my Prince Froggie Frog, who is still my best friend after all these years… (OK, a year… since I am only a year-and-a-half).

Shih Tzu Puppy 6 Weeks
He used to be my exact size, but then I grew ups, and now I am twice his size.

Aren’t Shih Tzu puppies the cutest things ever? Especially black and white ones, but I am bias.

Photo of the Day: Goodbye Christmas

I am pretty darn sad that Christmas is over… Our tree is still up, but probably not for long. I did like all the pretty lights and pawing at the ornaments that sometimes fell off…

Can’t you see how horribly sad I am at the end of the holiday season?

*Sigh*

Now… it’s time to go back to sleep, I guess. Bummer.
