There is really nothing cuter than a Shih Tzu that’s running your way. (And bravo to the photographers to catching these awesome moments.)
Look at the eager expression in this black and white Shih Tzu’s eyes. His teeth definitely show his mood, too. He’s super excited and happy, running around his backyard.

I don’t know if you realize it, but Shih Tzus are excellent runners. We may be small, but we can run superfast towards you. We’re like horses – or at least I am. Instead of running one paw at a time, like some dog breeds, Shih Tzu sprint with two paws at the same time, hurling quickly toward whatever they want.
Shih Tzus love to do zoomies – we will run all around the house as fast as we can.
Personally, I like to run in giant eights, even in the house. I run until I’m so exhausted that I fall on the ground and rest. My zoomies start right after Mama gets home. I’m so excited that I can’t help but run and run.

Don’t even try to have a race with an excited shitzu.. i know because Piper runs like the wind. When he runs.. his feet hardly touches the floor. *LOL* He may look fat and sluggish but when something catches his eye… he is off like the wind
